Milkweeds is a hair shop located in the Collinsville Axe Factory on the Farmington River in Collinsville, Connecticut. With four chairs, the shop is spacious, flooded bright natural light, eclectic mix of tunes and is a kind, sociable environment.

We provide and recommend at home hair care, that is American made, sustainable packaging and non-toxic. We believe in simplicity when it comes to tending to your hair at home and seek out ritual products that are socially and environmentally progressive.

Style is something that is personal, intimate and ever changing. Our hair shop is a place to find comfort in creating a style that suits you and your lifestyle.

Milkweeds provides a community space for like minded hair stylists to independently operate and service a community they or the shop have built. Each stylist independently handles their own bookings and payments. This provides opportunity for the stylist to have independence, flexibility and creative freedom as their own business owner.

Despite having our own entities, we operate as a team. We help each other out as needed, stay educated together and share a similar philosophy of haircare and a clean, conscious, community space.
